Rivermen Gameday: Grizzlies look to crawl back in win column

For the fifth time this season the Rivermen and Grizzlies will collide. The Grizzlies have owned the season series thus far with a 3-1 record in the four previous games. The Grizz’ have outscored the Rivermen 18-8, but lost 6-4 in Langley on November 5th. Things have changed dramatically for Victoria to say the least as they shipped off four of their best players at the deadline and decided to rebuild. To make matters worse they are without their best player in Wesley Myron who is on long term IR. They are currently in the midst of an 8 game losing streak and have been outscored 40-10 in their last 5 games. They are really short-manned as they had only 14 skaters in the lineup in last nights 9-2 loss in Coquitlam, and we can pretty much expect the same number of players tonight. The Rivermen on the other hand are looking to erase their 4-2 loss on Wednesday against Nanaimo. It was not Langley’s best game to put it nicely and expect them to come out hard and look to pounce on a likely fragile Grizzlies team. Jim Kruger will get the start for Langley as he had Wednesday night off. It is a 7 PM puck drop from the Langley Events centre.
