BREAKING NEWS: Head Coach/GM Steve O’Rourke resigns

The Langley Rivermen Hockey Club has announced the resignation of Head Coach/GM Steve O’Rourke. Steve just finished his first year behind the bench in the inaugural Rivermen season and has resigned due to personal reasons.

Steve came from the Abbottsford Heat where he spent two seasons as an Assistant Coach and led the Rivermen to a seventh place finish with a 19-35-1-5 record worth a total of 44 points.

“I would like to thank the Henderson family for the opportunity and the fans in Langley for their support and I wish them well”, said O’Rourke.

The Rivermen would like to thank Steve for his contributions to the team and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.

Assistant Coach Bobby Henderson will be the Rivermen’s second Head Coach/GM in franchise history. Jordan Emmerson will be the Associate Head Coach.
