The Rivermen and Express will square off for the second time this season this afternoon in Coquitlam. Back on September 14th the Express knocked off the Rivermen by a 3-2 score at the Poirier Sports and Leisure Centre. The ‘Men are coming off a big 6-5 home win over Surrey last night and are only a single point behind both the Eagles and Express coming into today’s game. The contest today will mark the first time this season that Langley has played three games in three days, so it will be interesting to see how the boys respond. Coquitlam on the other hand had the night off, which means they will be fresh for this one.

WHO TO WATCH FOR:
Langley: The entire line of Puskarich-Campbell- McLain. The trio was on fire last night combining for a whopping 12 points. Puskarich led the way netting his first hat trick of the season and added an assist as well. Mitch McLain is starting to find his stride as he has three goals in his last four periods of hockey.
Coquitlam: Alex Kerfoot. The super sophomore could arguably be one of the best players in the BCHL. The Harvard commit is having a great season leading the team in scoring with 16 points thus far. As a defenseman you have to always be aware when this kid is on the ice.
With a regulation win, the Rivermen can leap frog both the Eagles and Express in the standings. If the offense plays anything like it did last night, they should be in good shape. The game could very well come down to a special teams battle as you see above in that department both teams have been very good in. It is a 2:00 PM puck drop from the rink on Poirier and can be seen live at fasthockey.com or ustream.tv/channel/Langley-rivermen-hockey.
