RIVERMEN GAMEDAY: Rivermen @ Eagles


It is “Family Day” in British Columbia today, which is a new holiday starting this year. The kids are out of school, mom and dad have the day off work, but the Rivermen and Eagles will do battle for the eighth and final time. The Rivermen have come close in the last two meetings, but it is Surrey who lead the season series 6-1.  Entering today’s game both squads are coming off tough losses on Saturday night. The Rivermen got beat by Merritt 5-0, while the Coquitlam Express shocked the Eagles with a 3-2 double overtime win.  The Eagles have won the last five straight against the Rivermen and are still in first place in the Mainland Division. The game today will mark the third game in 17 days between these cross-town rivals.

Surrey- PP:  14th place in BCHL @ 17.35%,   PK:  5th place in BCHL @ 82.68%


This is the start of a very busy week for the Rivermen as today will start four games in seven days for the first time this season. Three out of the four are road games including two of them in Prince George on Thursday and Friday. It will be a very tough test for this Rivermen squad who want to lock up a playoff spot as soon as possible.
