Rivermen Update- “the voice” and exhibition games

On behalf of the Langley Rivermen organization and the Henderson family, I cannot express how excited we are for Brandon moving on to the Abbotsford Heat.  Brandon is a first class individual, and like many of us in the organization and his fans, we know he was destined for the big leagues and it was only a matter of time.  Brandon played a key role in the organization; he became not just “the voice” of the organization but also “the face” by attending countless community events as well as writing one of best blogs in junior hockey.  Brandon will be missed but knowing Brandon, he will always have the Rivermen and Rivermen fans in his heart and a passion for junior hockey. So what’s next? Moving forward, we will start the search for a new broadcaster when we finalize the role.  We have already had great interest from various broadcasters from around Canada. We encourage interested people to send in resumes and cover letters to info@langleyrivermen.com

Exhibition season is right around the corner. Our exhibition home games are hosted the Langley Sportsplex.   Many of you have asked about the cost of attending our home exhibition games. This year we are doing something a little different.  I’m excited to announce that in support of Langley Minor Hockey, the games will be by donation and all funds will go to Langley Minor Hockey.  This money will be used to help support players and families that cannot afford registration into Langley Minor.

  1. Thanks Brandon for all the Rivermen updates in the blog, I’ve really enjoyed them to keep up with the team. I look forward to hearing your voice on the radio this year!
