For 18 year-old Thomas Aldworth, coming to play for the Rivermen will be a big new chapter in his hockey career.
The native of Keller, Texas has already amassed quite the resume. He played high school hockey at the prestigious Cushing Academy in Massachusetts before beginning his junior career in the USHL with the Tri-City Storm. Last season he finished with the NAHL’s Lone Star Brahmas and will soon be headed north, for the very first time.
The 6’0″, 185 pound forward has already secured an NCAA Division I scholarship at Providence College of the Hockey East conference. Aldworth didn’t know much about the league let alone BC or Langley in particular, but having spoken with several alumni in addition to Bobby Henderson, he soon realized this is the path he wanted to take.
An offensive player, he’s looking forward to playing with some of North America’s best junior talent in the BCHL. It’ll be quite the transition for him at least geographically having never even travelled to Canada before. But both he and the Rivermen coaching staff are confident he will be a good fit here, and be a big part of the team’s offence.
